Garbage and Recycling

We provide bi-weekly collection services for trash (black cart) and recycling (blue cart) for residents. Collections occur on the same day of the week, alternating each week:

Week 1: Trash collection
Week 2: Recycling collection

Pick-up schedules are organized based on designated collection zones.

Find out when your garbage and recycling collection day is with Recycle Coach. Use it any time here, or install it on your phone from the Apple App store or the Google Play Store. This helpful app can set reminders for pickup days and help you sort recycling from trash.

Annual Compost Collection Program

October 19 to 26

We offer our residents a free compost collection program each year. Program guidelines:

Place your compost material in see-through bags or paper yard waste bags
Bags may only contain leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste
Branches are not accepted, and twigs thicker than a pen are not accepted
Unlimited number of bags residents can be left for pickup
Bags should be left on the boulevard, not streets or sidewalks
Compost is collected from streets on that street's designated "no on street parking" day
Drop compost off for free at the WMF if you can't take part in the compost collection program
After October 26, 2026, residents who wish to have their compostable material collected must take their bags to the WMF.
